Purpose: To compare the effectiveness of one intra-articular injection of polyacrylamide hydrogel
(Arthrosamid®) with that of one injection of hyaluronic acid (Synvisc-One®) in subgroups
of participants based on age, BMI or Kellgren-Lawrence (KL) grade at baseline by assessing
changes from baseline in transformed WOMAC pain subscale scores (0-100 score where
100 was worst).
